General Notes: The jury on the Inquest into the death of Duncan Davidson returned the following verdict - "That on the 4th October 1881 at Mannafield, the deceased, Duncan Davidson, died from hanging; and that such hanging was bought about by deceased's own hands while in a state of great depression bought on by loniness after the death of his wife some 11 months earlier."
